As part of the Paint the Town Pink bonanza in Newcastle-under-Lyme town centre on Saturday 27th October there will be three special venues for your delight and delectation.
The whole pop up event is organised by Denise O’Sullivan Dunn’s Pop Up Emporium, with the help of Dappled Sky, Anne’s Larder and other crafters, foody friends and musicians who will be having an input into the event which is overseen by Newcastle Borough Council.

On the evening of Friday 26th there will be a special opening night ( like a private view ) where you can meet the makers, artists and people involved. It’s invite only and DappledSky.com has 6 invites to give away to readers (3 sets of two tickets).
- 1st prize = 2 Invites for the Opening Night + a brooch artwork by Deborah Nicklin (unique “Bernice Blushes” brooch with story)
- 2nd prize = 2 tickets for the Opening Night
- 3rd prize = 2 tickets for the Opening Night
“If you could invite anyone (past or present) to have a cup of tea and a cupcake with you in the Pop Up Gallery tea room on 27th October, who would it be and why? “
Remember: Type your answer after this post, (not on facebook or twitter please)
Three names will be picked at random at 6pm on Tuesday 23rd – the first name picked will also receive a handmade brooch by Deborah Nicklin (All winners will be contacted directly, by a reply to the comment they leave.)
The three Pop Up venues on the 27th are also organising a special raffle, where you can buy tickets to win an Amazing Pop Up Hamper, containing items from most of the people taking part … packed with vintage goodies, arty wonders, yummy cakes, mouth-watering chutneys, tangy pickles, gifts, cards, plus other handmade beautiful crafts…. perfect to indulge yourself or kick-start your Christmas shopping.
Every raffle penny goes to the Paint the Town Pink Breast Cancer charity.
Wow … what another great reason to come along!
Saturday 27th October will be a great day to have a mooch around the town, rain or shine. You can take in some music, visit the pop up venues, go to the main town shops, do lunch. A great excuse to start that Christmas shopping!
If you do go into any of the Pop Up venues (on the map) and spend some of your hard-earned cash, you will be supporting a breast cancer charity. So how cool is that? It will be one of those rare occasions when you can spend your money and actually feel good, rather than feeling the pinch!
5% percentage from every sale at the Pop Up shops and gallery go towards the breast cancer charity… and you will be supporting independent makers, artists, bakers, stall holders to earn a living.
See the pink, green, purple dots on the map – these are the three venues for the 27th October event.
Here is a list of some of the people who will be in the Pop Up Gallery (pink spot) but there are also plenty of sellers goods in the food and craft shop (green spot), plus many stall holders in the vintage Pop Up shop (purple spot)
