Crafts Council’s COLLECT is currently showing at the Saatchi Gallery on The Kings Road, London, from 11th -14th May. It’s the 4th year that it has been held at the Saatchi and this exhibition is a mecca for anyone interested in collecting the very best in contemporary craft, or discovering who is hot in the world of craft today. With 31 makers and textiles and furniture 10 installations. 15 makers selected from the UK, 1 from Ireland, 1 from Italy, 1 from Germany, 1 from Sweden, 1 from China, 2 from Japan, 2 from Belgium, 2 from Norway and 5 from the Netherlands,
That would seriously be enough to make me a happy bunny, if I could get down there over the next few days… but if like me, you know that it’s not possible – check out the COLLECT catalogue.
I am visiting London next month and I see that the Out of Focus photography exhibition, which has made way for COLLECT, will resume in the gallery on 17th May until 22nd July 2012, so I might get chance to see that… it looks fab !
