Wired to the Mains

Louise Wilson Wirework title Louise Wilson wirework at Pop Up Emporium 17th December 2011

Louise Wilson’s wonderful wirework was on show at the Pop Up Emporium in the Roebuck Centre, Newcastle under Lyme on 17th December. Having admired Louise’s work at unit Twelve, it was great to meet  the actual Louise Wilson!  I had loved her tiny wire bicycle in a tin, it was sitting pretty on the counter at Unit Twelve and was even considering buying it, but some other lucky soul had already pipped me to the post ( maybe somebody is receiving it as a special Christmas gift –  how lovely.)

She was was doing a grand  job at braving the chilly weather in Newcastle. We then took a drive over to Trentham Awakes to look at their Christmas market and a browse around Yellowstone Art Boutique.

Fab – Louise’s work was on show there too!

We bought a few things from the shop ( that I can’t mention incase I give people clues as to what they are having for Christmas presents!) One thing we did buy for ourselves though, that I can tell you about, was a gorgeous polar bear print by Jamie Mitchell (illustration)Bob the Polar Bear - Jamie Mitchell

I’m looking forward to popping back in to Yellowstone in the New Year and looking at all the new goodies for 2012.  I’ll hope to have  a chat with Hannah Stoney and share some lovely pics and quotes.
