Anne Mychalkiw creates beautiful stitched and printed textiles with a range of tea towels, wall hangings and applique canvasses, plus Anne makes lovely mixed media pictures and a lovely range of mugs and little plates. Lots of Anne’s work talks of every day scenes in a North Staffordshire town, with market day scenes in Newcastle under lyme, views of the Guildhall, people mooching about the town and walking their dogs.
Anne is a graduate of Staffordshire University and in also based in North Staffordshire. She was brought up on a farm in Mid-Wales, so a recurring theme through her work is the countryside and birds are a favourite.
Her paper designs have textural elements and often include stitched areas and printed surfaces.
Recently, Anne has introduced her own ceramic designs on Fine Bone China made in Stoke-on-Trent. Her latest ceramic range is based on the seasons.
