What Rachel did next!

Not content with decorating Northwood Park with a fabulous textile tree installation back in October 2011 for the B arts Harvest eventRachel Grant is up to her tree-tastic tricks again…

This time Rachel is using fabric and a sewing machine rather than knitting needles and wool. She is making preparations for her next outdoor art installation by getting involved with all the renovation activity in Burslem Park.

Check out Rachel’s blog posts for updates and any requests for help, and find out how you can get involved or how to enjoy the final results when they will be displayed this summer.

Rachel has also been part of the Godiva Awakes team for Coventry’s Olympic 2012 celebrations. The results of that special collaboration with other makers and artists, including designer Zandra Rhodes are guaranteed to be amazing.

If you’ve not heard about Rachel’s work before why not read the interview with Rachel Grant and Paine Proffitt that was posted on Dappled Sky a few months ago.
