The British Ceramics Biennial is back for a third time. The 2011 event was brilliant , it seems to get better each time. The 2011 festival attracted over 40,000 visitors to Stoke-on-Trent.
Ceramicists, designers and artists working with clay are now invited to make applications for a number of opportunities in the 2013 programme within the areas of AWARD, FRESH plus RESIDENCIES and FELLOWSHIPS.

AWARD
At the heart of the British Ceramics Biennial, the AWARD exhibition will again be presented at the Potteries Museum & Art Gallery. A single prize of £10,000 is on offer.
Applications are invited from artists working in the following categories:
DESIGN - Ceramic design for manufacture
CRAFT - Studio production
ART - One-off ceramics, ideas, installations
Deadline: Friday 15 February 2013.
FRESH
Graduates from BA and MA courses in 2012 and 2013 are invited to submit their work for selection for FRESH 2013, to be presented in the China Hall on the original Spode factory site. A single prize of £3,000 is on offer.

BCB RESIDENCIES and FELLOWSHIPS
A number of residency and research opportunities are being offered for artists to work with the BCB in Stoke-on-Trent in partnership with Industry, Museums, Education and Community. These include:
ARTISTS INTO INDUSTRY
A residency with Johnson Tiles to explore the technological innovations and architectural applications. Fee £3,000.
EXPLORE
Three short-term research residencies to explore the potential of the original Spode factory site, the City and it’s ceramic resources. Fee £1,000 each.
